Mr. Phantom's "Reptilian Race" is a satirical critique of power and the often inhuman nature of those who wield it. The artwork depicts figures in business suits, each with the head of a reptile, alluding to the popular conspiracy theory of a secret reptilian elite controlling world affairs. The lizard-like faces, combined with the formal attire, symbolise the cold-blooded, calculating nature often associated with politicians and corporate leaders. The worn and weathered background further emphasises the decay and corruption within these power structures. This piece challenges the viewer to consider the dehumanising effects of power and the disconnection between the ruling class and the people they govern.
